Spring 2025 Update

Updated: Aug 6

We’ll it’s finally happened. God has opened doors for us to lease our own space and move out of Nick and Jessica’s home. It’s been two years filled with lots of spiritual opposition - hurdles, bumps, stumbling blocks and stop signs, and has included cantankerous neighbors, parking violations, meetings with City officials, a change to Foursquare Covenant Church status (and all the State and governmental licensing and regulatory requirements that came with that) plus countless leasing challenges, including the most recent three week “chess match” negotiating with our new landlord.

But Praise God, this past week we’ve reached an agreement and will be moving into our new

home in early May. This means we will be “officially” approved as a church. We finally have all the necessary Federal, State and City permits, certifications, and regulatory authorizations to be sanctioned in the State of Washington.

Our new space should accommodate up to 100 congregants with plenty of parking. There are also nearby neighborhoods with plenty of potential new people to invite. One end of the building also has an additional parking lot and grassy area that will hopefully allow us to run our Foodbank ministry as well.

Some of you know more intimately the challenges we’ve had to overcome. Oregon and Washington are truly some of the most spiritually dark areas in our country. Most people are extremely isolated and there is very, very little sense of community anywhere. Thankfully, we plan to change that through our ministry efforts and community outreach programs.

Besides our Sunday morning services, we’ll continue to offer weekly Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies. We also plan to begin our Foodbank/distribution Ministry, a Financial Counseling Ministry and a Saturday Night Concert/Worship Service like the ones Hope Chapel hosts. By divine “coincidence,” God has blessed us with a music studio right next door. The owner is a Christian worship leader himself and looking for venues for his students to get on-stage performance experience. Bingo! Instant concert night and all the family and friends that come with that!

Once again, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have faithfully supported us with your prayers, texts, emails and financial gifts. They’ve meant everything to us as we’re a thousand miles away from our Hope Chapel family and friends.

We’d also like to ask for your continued support as we take on momentum and grow. As you can imagine, our new space will now need some material items in addition to the rent, insurance, and monthly maintenance charges we’ve been blessed to avoid over the past two years. We’ve saved enough to cover most of these costs, but we are inviting you to prayerfully consider giving in support of this mission. We know that behind the start of every church plant is a team of faithful saints who have stood in the gap through their prayers and giving. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly supports the work of building this new church.

We hope you’ll continue to follow our efforts on our website (hopenorthwest.org), and Facebook and Instagram. We also plan to live-stream Nick’s sermons beginning sometime this Fall, so you’ll be able to join us on Sunday mornings as well.

May God continue to bless all of you as we all strive to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

God Bless,

Nick, Jessica, Zion, Olive, Dale and Stephanie Turner
